About

I’m a freelance writer and trainer and I live in Bangalore, India. I started this blog writing about usability and design, but I’ve tackled other topics of interest since.

My interest in usability started with ensuring that developers I worked wrote consistent error messages, and spelt things correctly. I then moved on to actually designing user interfaces, attending design meetings, conducting training sessions, and being an all-around pain in the rear end. All this while I was “just” a technical writer but I had a fantastic boss, so what can I say?

While I do get annoyed when software doesn’t work or customer service reps treat me (or someone else) badly, I also do appreciate simple things that designers or customer service reps do to make my life easier. Heck, it gives me a kick, when someone gets it.

I also write another blog called Thinking Without A Box, a pun on the whole “outside the box” thinking. I’ve also written a bunch of articles about different topics, which you can find on this page.

Thanks for checking out this blog and I hope that you enjoy what you read. You can reach me by clicking here.

And, if you’re looking for a writer or trainer, please contact me.
